One-stop Solution for all a franchisor's needs

The team at EXB Legal also operate a specialist franchisor consultancy, Franchise Generator.  You are welcome to use our services just as EXB Legal (working with your chosen franchise consultants, if any) or just as Franchise Generator (and we will work with your chosen franchise lawyers if different).

However, we are in the almost unique position of being able to offer you both services from the same team of people (EXB Legal is a separate business only for Solicitors Regulation Authority purposes).  Élise Billy has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD, one of the world's leading internaional business schools, but is also a highly qualified specialist franchise solicitor.

This means that in addition to the EXB Legal services, the same team can prepare and assist you with all your commercial documents and planning, including financial forecasts and modelling, Franchisee Information Pack (sometimes called a prospectus or information memorandum), operations manual, assistance with franchisee selection criteria, advice on structures and systems, ongoing support to you during the set-up and on an ongoing basis, and everything that you need to franchise your business.

By using both EXB Legal and Franchise Generator, you can save time and money.  You will not have to repeat meetings to explain your business to both your consultant and your lawyer.  More importantly, you can be sure that all your documents and systems accurately mirror each other.  Too often with separate service providers the legal agreements can set out different obligations, fees or benefits from what the consultant may have planned with the franchisor, or what is contained in the franchisee information pack, prospectus or other marketing material given to franchisees before they sign the legal agreement.  This can cause misunderstandings and difficulties with franchisees.

We advise you to check whether your consultants have any business qualifications in addition to having franchise expertise.  Some consultants say that they provide legal documents, but these will only ever be standard precedents that you will then have to pay a lawyer to tailor to your requirements.  You need to consider carefully any claim by a consultant to be able to provide legal documents, because unless the consultant is a qualified lawyer, the documents are unlikely to be legally accurate or up-to-date, and the consultant will not be insured to provide legal services and will not be regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.  EXB Legal is a fully regulated and registered law firm that is also a specialist affiliate member of the British Franchise Association.
